Fashion Revolution Launch Night: Open Studios!

Come join the fun at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator for launch night of Fashion Revolution’s Open Studios as part of the globally recognized #whomademyclothes initiative. That same week, Fashion Revolution kicks off their #whomademyclothes campaign which happens at the time of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, where 1,138 people were killed and many more injured on 24th April 2013. The week was created to encourage millions of people to ask brands ‘Who made my clothes’ and demand greater transparency in the fashion supply chain.Learn More

This DIY event will give you an inside look into the world of traditional Indian manufacturing techniques, as you learn hands-on how clothing can be made ethically and sustainably. Join us at Brand Assembly NY for a night of indigo DIY lead by Melanie DiSalvo of virtue + vice using natural indigo from Botanical Colors. Learn about the history of indigo and how this unique dye is made, then create your own scarf to take home using traditional Indian bandhani tie-dye techniques.As your creative juices flow, make new friends while you sip on unlimited cocktails, snack on treats healthy treats, and zen out to our DJ’s hypnotic tunes.
